Connecting Christian Writers In New Zealand

NZ Christian Writers is a nationwide collective of more than 300 authors, bloggers, poets, editors, lyricists, storytellers and publishers who share a commitment to Christian faith, God’s Word, professionalism, quality and social outreach. Since 1983 the organisation has connected and supported Christian writers through community, teaching and encouragement. With a mission to connect Christian writers across New Zealand and a vision to inspire and equip them, the collective welcomes both new and experienced writers. Through bi-monthly magazines, competitions, seminars and retreats, NZ Christian Writers provides opportunities for growth, fellowship and creative development.

The purpose of NZ Christian Writers is to promote writing that reflects the life and teaching of Jesus Christ, uphold Christian ethics in a non-denominational environment and support writers in both religious and secular spaces. The organisation strengthens local writing groups, provides training, and offers encouragement to writers who may otherwise work in isolation. Honorary members are recognised for their exceptional contribution to the collective and hold lifelong membership in acknowledgement of their service.
